Along with the serene and calm atmosphere it offers, the beach is also famous for a 35 m long sculpture of a mermaid which is known as Matsya Kanyaka. Another interesting fact about the beach is that it is perfectly close to the Trivandrum airport which again makes it a favorite spot for tourists and newlyweds alike.
